Orkut gave me a good surprise in 2006.
I was lonely and confused and you gave me my answers
…I was scared of my decisions and the future untold
You held my hand and showed me the path
…I didn’t knew love and the magic it had
You touched me and I felt the miracles conspiring in my universe
…You gave me your shoulder when one shoulder left
You ensured the departed shoulder yours would be always there
….You made my wordings and wishes true
You did everything I imagined
…..You came with me and took a step forward
You took me to land unknown
……You gave me a house
You gave me new identity
………….You gave me security
You gave me care, comfort and generosity
..You forgave my mistakes….You understood me….and trusted me
You took my tears and replaced it with smile,
You held my hands and gave me your warmth…………………………………..
On the night we wed- we took vows
The vows reassured me I was safe and secure
I will be happy and I will be sound
The grey skies will clear and sun will shine
Love will conquer and fear will depart
Memories will be treasured and joys cherished
I will always be proud of you and smiling ……
On the simple mistake I made in 2006
How beautiful it has grown
How charming it has become
How comforting it has turned
My silly naive mistake of saying -
‘Let’s give it a shot’
My silly naive silliness of saying yes
Without meeting you

The risk has paid off

@ reema- Yes we met on orkut as total strangers……….and then love blossomed too soon….the day we started chatting-next day he proposed for wedding! and silly naive me said- YES!!

Orkut love…? I think Orkut people should celebrate ‘THIS’ aniversary for u…
If your hubby has made you to write this poem, then u must sure be a made for each other couple… coz, i’ve never known a girl writing a poem for a boy… and the one on top of the clouds must be on cloud nine seeing u happy below…!

That’s sound wonderful, almost fairytale like? Yes, this can happen. I have a cousin who said yes to a proposal by proxy. His parents sent him the photograph, THEY met the girl,was very impressed etc. My cousin, just could not get enough leave to manage the enagagement ceremony and the wedding, so he took the great leap of belief and landed up just for the wedding. He saw his intended for the first time at the ceremony! Of course, I need to say in passing that he was working in Canada. Well, to make a long story short, they got along like a house on fire, and there they are now in Toronto with a lovely daughter , both of them with very good jobs, seems to be perfect!!SO you see one never knows, and that’s the best part of life–impossible to generalize about human beings. Just that makes you committed to living every moment as fully as one can. Seize the moment, seize the day!!!!
